Visit to San Juan Islands, Washington

Fred is from New England, Massachusetts to be exact, and a long line of "ocean lovers." While he enjoys living in Arizona, there is a serious need, about once a year, to breathe salt air and walk along a sandy shoreline. So, while researching the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest's campgrounds, we decided to take a week long side trip to the San Juan Islands. We stayed near Anancortes on Fidalgo Island and branched out to explore Whidbey, Fidalgo, and Orcas islands. These are some of the photograph we took while enjoying the tranquil waters and meeting friendly folks.
