Update and Review campgrounds
The authors have personally visited and researched over 2,400 developed campgrounds in national forests and grasslands across the U.S. - took 20 years. They cannot now get back to these campgrounds on a regular basis and so are dependent on the Forest Service and campers to keep ForestCamping.com current. Toward that end, the following are the means by which you can help keep the public informed about developed camping in national forests and grasslands.

. . . Thank you . . .

1. UPDATE New campground (not in this website - ForestCamping.com). Must have 10 designated campsites and be accessible with a family sedan. Group campgrounds are excluded.

Click here for the Update Form into which data are entered by you. Follow the instructions on the form and the definitions for each data field. Please check "New" on the form. When completed, click on "Submit." The data will be transmitted to the authors who will review it and post to the database and this website.

2. UPDATE Existing campground (exists in this website - ForestCamping.com).

Select the national forest/grassland by clicking here. Then, click on the campground name. A full description of the campground is displayed. Click on the Update button above the campground name; the Update Form is displayed. Follow the instructions on the form and the definitions for the appropriate data fields. Please check "Existing" on the form. When completed, click on "Submit." The data will be transmitted to the authors who will review it and post to the database and this website.

3. Print blank Update Form

For those of you who wish to have a blank copy of the form to use while working a campground, click here to print the form. Printing works best on legal size paper (8.5" x 14").

4. Campground Review

We invite you to review the national forest and grassland campgrounds in which you camp. To do that, select the national forest/grassland by clicking here. Then, click on the campground name. A full description of the campground is displayed. Click on the Review button to the right of the campground name and complete the short form as instructed. After review by the authors, your review will be posted at the campground description for all to see.
