has "put-ins" and "put-outs" on the North Fork of the Flathead River.
Big Creek empties into the North Fork of the Flathead River at the
campground. The campground is 2.5 miles from the Camas Creek
entrance to the Glacier National Park.

The Big Creek Outdoor Education Center of The Glacier Institute is
across the road from the campground. It provides "opportunities
for children and adults to learn about the diverse natural and
cultural resources of Glacier National Park and the Crown of the
Continent Ecosystem." The Institute offers field seminars including
guided hikes in the Glacier National Park. Although not all the
seminars and hikes originate from the Big Creek Outdoor Education
Center, some do. Check out their Web site for information and
schedule of events or telephone (406) 755-1211.
