Is my MH a Black Hole for things?

Every year I debate my hair-style for the upcoming season. I like a shoulder-length pageboy style but a really short cut means less water needed to wash it and drying is faster. However, if I don’t cut it, I’ll be able to pull-it back into a ponytail or braid. But than there is the problem with longer hair of keeping it dry during showers. And that presents a whole other set of problems. You see I think we have a shower cap stealing critter living in the motorhome (MH). It will also on occasion hid maps, notepads, pens, memory sticks, sun glasses, and other stuff.

No, I’m not crazy. A few years ago, I decided to go with the ponytail/braid hairstyle and bought a shower cap just for the MH. After a month on the road, it disappeared. I tore the place apart with for the darn thing then spent the rest of the season “making do.” The next year I brought my shower cap from home and it gone within the first week. After lamenting the loss, a fellow camper give me one of those flimsy shower caps that motels hand out. I babied that thing all season. It never got lost – interesting wouldn’t say? This year I bought a new heavy-duty shower cap for the MH and, suddenly, the two missing ones reappeared. And not in some odd location like under the sofa or behind a drawer but in the bathroom book rack (which is emptied every time we put the MH up of the winter)!!! Go figure.

Now, a 31-foot MH has only so many places things can hid. I have, on several occasions, torn this vehicle apart looking for some object we really, really, really need with no luck My mother, a Ferry Pilot-trainee during WWII, would talk about “gremlins” causing mechanical problems in the airplanes and other equipment. Today, with all our electronic equipment, we have “murphies” where anything that can go worry, usually does. My question is could there be a hybrid of “gremlins” and “murphies” in our motorhome and where in the heck do it put my big map of Alaska!
