Summers can get really hot in Nebraska. What could be more welcomed than a cool dip in a giant swimming pool. Bessey Recreation Area's swimming pool is old and has a few problems with leaking and such but it is an important part of the overall experience spent in this National Forest. It is a gathering place for not only campers but for the communities of Thedford, Halsey, and Dunning.
