02salt_flat.jpg One interesting aspect of Death Valley is the light. In the morning, the light gives Death Valley a soft, gentle personae. In the evening, there was a mellow feeling as the shadows from Panamint Mountain stretch across the Valley. And during the time between, the light can only be described as hard and brittle. The light shimmers across the white salt flat and sits heavy on the rocks, bushes, and tarmac.
