banff_marsh1.jpg There must be two or three dozen trails to explore in and around Banff. Marsh Trail, which connects to Marsh Loop and Sundance Trail, is just one we hiked. The nearly treeless plain offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. The trail's surface is either paved or hardened making this a great trail for strollers. Parking for the trail is at the Cave and Basin National Historic Site. We spent the morning exploring the Marsh Loop, then enjoyed a picnic lunch on a deck at the Historic Site before climbing to the bubbling thermal waters of the "Cave" and exploring that area. Good day.
