Cowboy Dinner Tree Steakhouse – good eating

cowboy_dinner_tree3

Fred grilled a very nice New York Strip steak for our dinner.  He does have a way with beef but, to be honest, he can’t touch the fantastic dinner we had at the Cowboy Dinner Tree Steakhouse.  The menu is brief.  You make your selection of either a hunk (as in the 26 plus ounce range) of beef or whole chicken when making reservations.   The steakhouse a located outside the tiny community of Silver Lake, Oregon in the Fremont National Forest and for the quality of food, the level of service, and cost this place can’t be beat.  I can’t help but wonder when Guy Fieri, of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, is going to discover this amazing place.  For more pictures click here.  For the Cowboy Dinner Tree Steakhouse’s website, click here.

We want to plan our trip to Arizona in November around a visit to the Cowboy Dinner Tree. We have heard/read so many great comments.

My question: Is there a place to park our 32’5th wheel/pick-up for an overnight there after dining? We don’t drive in the dark, so need to figure out camping arrangements in advance.

Could you reply by email? geogguru@msn.com Carolyn Russell 541-388-2312 Thanks.

Actually the Cowboy Dinner Tree Steakhouse is in Oregon’s Fremont National Forest so if you are driving State Route 31 from LaPine and Paisley you will pass through Silver Lake and be real close to the Steakhouse. Any of the three campgrounds we have posted on ForestCamping.com (Silver Creek Marsh, Eastbay, and Thompson Reservoir) will be able to accommodate your rigs. Enjoy the great food and either good hungry or be prepared to bring home large “dog bags.”

What is the closest RV park (within walking distance) to the Cowboy diner?

    1. Suzi Dow says:

I don’t know of any private campgrounds in the area but just about everything is miles and miles away from the Cowboy Diner/Steakhouse.

saddly there is no rv parks within miles of the Cowboy Dinner Tree Steakhouse. Suzi
