{"id":3657,"date":"2013-10-30T03:50:43","date_gmt":"2013-10-30T10:50:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/forestcamping.com\/blog\/?p=3657"},"modified":"2015-11-15T03:12:18","modified_gmt":"2015-11-15T10:12:18","slug":"guide-to-crumb-crust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.forestcamping.com\/dow\/suzi\/guide-to-crumb-crust\/","title":{"rendered":"Guide to Crumb Crust"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I like having a little something sweet after dinner \u00a0and a piece of pie is just the thing. \u00a0However, when camping, baking a whole two-crust pie just ain&#8217;t going to happen. \u00a0 My solution: Crumb crust in individual serving dishes instead of a shortening based pie crust. \u00a0The following are four version I found useful. \u00a0 I&#8217;ll make up a batch, divide between individual coffee cups, and fill with whatever I have. \u00a0(Vanilla pudding and sliced bananas is most popular with my family.) \u00a0While the portions given are for 6 servings, cut it in half for 3 regular servings or 2 hungry camper serving size.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forestcamping.com\/dow\/suzi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/dessert.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3668\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forestcamping.com\/dow\/suzi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/dessert.jpg\" alt=\"dessert\" width=\"261\" height=\"196\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.forestcamping.com\/dow\/suzi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/dessert.jpg 326w, https:\/\/www.forestcamping.com\/dow\/suzi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/dessert-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 261px) 100vw, 261px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Crumb Crust &#8211; a guide to<\/strong><br \/>\nCombine ingredients, press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of serving dish or ungreased 9&#8243; pie pan.
