07pullman.jpg - Original Pullman stand coach - The story goes this Pullman Carriage had been cut in half, one side used as a chicken coop and the other as a wood shed. The SVRR folks found it and, thanks to the generous donation of Emma Eccles Jones, a daughter of the SVR's founder David Eccles, the No. 20 Pullman standard coach was purchased and restored. Riders find it an elegant way to travel, although the window can be tempermental and close unexpectedly. (Check out the sides of the ceiling. The original frosted glass has been replaced with a much less expensive material illustrating how the SVRR folks are trying hard be authetic within budget.)
