Dee Wright Observatory of Willamette and Deschutes National Forests

The McKenzie-Santiam Scenic Byway offers some of the most impressive views of volcanic activity in the continental United States. Probably the best place to see 75 square miles of broken, rugged lava flows, cinder cones, land islands, and glacier dotted landscape is from Dee Wright Observatory.
