How many of you guys and gals have picked up the sport of Geocaching? The better half and I participate when we can - usually when we get out camping. We think it is a great way to learn interesting things about an area along with having fun finding the caches. Some are pretty cleaverly hidden.

I recently heard about geocaching and even downloaded the iPhone app Geocaching. I think the next time we go camping we are going to try it out. From what I have read it sounds like a lot of fun. I love finding new things to do with my family, I told my daughter that we were going to go on a treasure hunt and she got so excited.

Don't forget to also participate in virtual geocaching - see "Participate in Virtual Geocaching." I guess it's not as "sexy" but it does require using the same skills as "physical" geocaching and the visuals can be outstanding . . . Fred

As I noted earlier, this is a wonderful sport for the entire family. The trick whether the cache is a physical or virtual is to be observant.

I'd love to hear from more of you that participate in this sport!

I gave it a try last fall at Desoto State Park. Enjoyed it.
