Met a woman during our Alaska adventure who raved about a new product they were using in their Class A Diesel Pusher motorhome. The product was from K-Chem and called Diesel Cream. She claimed it produced an increase in miles per gallon but the product's primary claim is to increase lubricity and prolong engine life. Fuel costs may be down but, as a girl who can remember filling her Chevy with the change in the bottom of her purse, I'm always interested in increasing mpg.
Have you heard or know anything about Diesel Cream?

Hi Suzi,
We had a Lister Diesel engine in our Boat...sound's like a synthetic oil additive. We never used it, but we didn't do as many mls in a sail boat.
We worried that we are going against good practice, or tradition. In theory it sounds good ...but does it do any damage?
At least this lady had done it and proven it worked for her...I always worry about what these additives do...
Our airstream is Gass..and we are getting 9.5 mpg for the last 4000 MLs.
Cheers Sharon

Suzi,
Most additives do not do any harm but their benefits are controversial. Engines are speced out to run on what is normally available at our fuel stations so the need for anything beyond that is questionable as far as return. I do use a fuel additive when the temps get down around zero mostly as a precaution against gelling of the diesel.

So, Diesel Cream, or any other fuel additive, in your opinion, isn't something to try unless manufactured or endorsed by my truck's manufacturer? According to K-Chem's literature, Diesel Cream is the best thing since sliced bread so thank you for your input.
