My wife and spent 18 days camping with our truck camper rig in Shenandoah N.P. and then on down the BRPW and ended up in GSMNP.

It was our 25th aniv. trip.

We had a ball, we do love the N.P. and S.P. (AND NATIONAL FOREST)

Okay, but what about national forests? You were surrounded by the George Washington and Thomas Jefferson national forests. Suzi

I think you are reading something into Suzi's post that was not the intent. Both of us are trying to introduce people to national forests and grasslands and that they should consider them along with NPs. In any case, how would you compare national parks to national forests? Sounds like you have lots of experience in both.

Everybody is good, sorry for my snap as well, had a bad morning trying to pen up cows by myself, that usually don't go well, so i was automaticly reeding negitive into everything.

I think for the amount of funding the N.F. gets compaired to N.P.'s i think they are great.

If we could just tip the money scale toward N.F.'s it would be alot better.

we like to boondock camp most of the time and find N.F. are alot more inviting than the N.P., of corse any day out it the winderness is a good day.......all we need to do now is stop littering and we got it made.
