A sweeping turn after a cluster of picnic areas leads to a stretch of the Byway some might find a little scary. However, it is these steep bare mountainsides that provide incredible views from the Byway's vistas. Unfortunately, on the day of our visit, views were limited by the dust laden high winds sweeping across the desert floor.
