Lake Powell and Horseshoe Bend - Awesome Beauty The stark beauty of the Lake Powell area is amazing. With no trees to hide the land, everything is visible. While many people come to Page, Arizona, the nearest town, to enjoy the water sports of Lake Powell, there are things to do that do not require a boat. On this visit, we decided on a hike to Horseshoe Bend and a drive along Lake Powell. Maybe next time we'll explore a slot canyon or do all of the City of Page's Rim Trail.
