15titus_cyn_narrows_9.jpg Hanging gardens is a term we learned while exploring Zion National Park. Death Valley's gardens are not as lush and green as those found in Zion, but I think Titus Canyon's gardens are just as beautiful. These plants, with a tenuous toe-hold in the deep cracks of the Canyon's walls, help to sustain the Death Valley's Bighorn sheep population. We were told Titus Canyon is where we had the best chance of seeing this elusive mammal. Unfortunately, we saw none.
