Here is the view of Devil's Golf Course from the visitors parking area. The salt flat's surface isn't all that flat. It is really a collection of domes, spires, and pinnacles. However, there are some places where the salt flat's surface is relatively level and appears to be a collection of interlocking jigsaw puzzle pieces. Overall, Devil's Golf Course has the appearance of dirty old snow that was plowed and left to melt in the Spring.
