cowboy_dinner_tree3.jpg The meat is barbecued outside on a huge grill. The rest of the menu is cooked in a small kitchen on this side of the Steakhouse while guests are seated in one of three small rooms. Originally, meals served during seasonal cattle drives, were prepared by the cook from his chuckwagon kitchen under the juniper tree you see behind the Steakhouse. Later, a line shack was built on this spot so cowboys could make their own meals and have a sheltered place to sleep. Today, the Cowboy Tree Dinner Steakhouse may not look like much but it is a huge improvement over those bygone days.
