2overhang.jpg This pile of boulders is the result of wind and water errosion. Cracks, joints, and intersections between the boulders allow wind and rain to carry specks of boulder away until it falls down, often leaning on each other. The leaning boulders form little caves or lean-tos which offer shade and cooler temperatures - a greatly appreciated feature of Council Rocks.
