  bison-baby.jpg - This Bison calf is from the same herd as the magnificent bull. This little guy was hidden in the grass just a little ways from our motorhome. It didn’t move or try to get up but stayed put. A couple of cows eyed us for a while but must have decided we were harmless and moved on, leaving the calf hidden right under our noses. Most baby bison are born in May. Calves can stand within 30 minutes of birth, run within hours, and begin grazing within a week.
